| Last-minute injury report, NFL Week 4
If Lewis can't go, Jerome Harrison (16 carries, 52 yards; 3 receptions, 33 yards last week at Baltimore) gets the starting not at running back. Billy Cundiff is the Browns' backup kicker. Oakland at Houston, 1 p.m. Oakland's offense will continue to miss tackle Robert Gallery, who broke his left fibula in Week 2. WR Johnnie Lee Higgins was limited in practice all week with an injured shoulder but is listed as probable. If Higgins isn't able to go, that means even more looks for Darrius Heyward-Bey. Chris Brown, the Texas' designated short-yardage back, is listed as questionable with a shin injury. Brown has been the Texans' running back inside the 20 this season, and the as-yet disappointing Steve Slaton might be able to get goal-line carries if Brown can't go.
Local trio storm through to win 30 mile relay race
Mercer Shuttle 10k A number of Stourbridge runners took part in this 10k event, many of whom had run in the JW Ultra the day before. Game of the year?
There's a long-running and entirely misguided belief that video games need to be more like movies. It's like saying hip hop music needs to be more like detective novels, or abstract art needs to be more like three-camera sitcoms. Trying to force a game to look and feel like a movie -- whether it's by hiring big-name voice talent, shoehorning "cinematic moments" into gameplay or writing hundreds of lines of character dialogue -- often results in a cliched, muddled mess. But there's an exception to every rule, and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is it. In stores Oct. 13 (we've got the exclusive first Canadian review), this PlayStation 3 action-adventure title is one of the most unapologetically movie-like video games ever made. And it also happens to be a front-runner for the best video game of 2009.
Redskins Insider: Still running on empty
With the momentum gone and the running game still missing in action, the Redskins punted on their next three possessions en route to a 19-14 defeat to the Lions. Whether it's a byproduct of falling behind early, the inefficiency of the offensive line or Portis' balky ankles, the Redskins' running game has been stuck in neutral for the first three games. A team that last year averaged 130.9 rushing yards (eighth in the NFL) and 4.4 an attempt (tied for seventh) has seen its production drop to 91.7 (24th) and 4.0. "Very surprised," center Casey Rabach said. "But we're capable of running the ball, and I still feel very confident we can run the ball against any defense we face. We just need to do it." And do it fast. The Redskins are 1-2, and their next three games come against Tampa Bay (31st against the run), Carolina (29th) and Kansas City (19th).

In Friday night's lopsided matchup against Hammond, the talented running back put plenty of distance between himself and the next great Red Devils' running back who even dares to come close to challenging his career totals. In a mismatch of epic proportions, Lowell ran all over the Wildcats and celebrated homecoming with a 63-0 win as Grubbe rushed for 165 yards on 22 carries and scored five touchdowns. "He's a thoroughbred for us," Lowell coach Kirk Kennedy said. "We're awfully proud of the kid as a football player and as a young man. The line did a good job of blocking for him tonight. Once he gets to the line and gets a block, his athleticism and talent takes over from there." Grubbe has scored 13 touchdowns in the last three weeks which in itself is astounding.

They are running them in our country. Even decent local families who go there are told to leave." On certain beaches, there are clear lines that Indians cannot cross. "I was chased away by a Gujarati restaurant owner from a corner of Baga beach," says Anoop Nair, an IT manager from Bangalore. "He said it was private property and meant only for whites." Vincent Fernandes, a guest house owner at Chapora-Anjuna , has the last word on this. "The code is clear. Your skin should be white. It doesn't matter whether you sell vegetables in Europe for a living." Michael Jackson would have been disappointed. In Goa, it does matter whether you are black or white. .

Cup men's 10k and the Omaha Half Marathon in consecutive weekends. What was your impression of the running community in Omaha during both weekends? How has the running community supported your teams so far this season? Davis: They reminded me what I missed about Omaha in the past. It was great being a part of the running community in Oregon. It was a completely different world, with some of the biggest names and faces in the sport. As exciting and exhilarating as that was, though, sometimes it made you wonder if people took some of this stuff a little too seriously…a little too "life and death" at times. Don't get me wrong, this stuff is important, but at the end of the day, there are more important things out there. The Omaha running community can keep things in better perspective at times, and the people involved are a little more down to earth.
